The Race Movement Project is a presence-centered social justice movement thatbrings together the practices of personal freedom and healing divisions of race, class, faith and politic that are essential to creating a just society, with particular reference to race.
This Movement to transform race in 12 1/2 years grows out of Reverend angel Kyodo williams’ over 20 years of putting into practice her unwavering belief that the key to transforming society is transforming our inner lives. The co-authored book Radical Dharma: Talking Race, Love and Liberation offers an articulation of of Rev. angel’s vision, which she has translated into a series of programs that are described on this website. They include: a cluster of retreats (Connections, Conversations, Circles, and Camps) that have intiated profound healing and deepened commitment to dismantling oppression across lines of race, class, gender, sexual orientation and other divides. The most recent Race Movement projects include the Liberated Life Network, a virtual community; and the Great Radical Race Read (GR3).
